Therapeutic Approach

Psychoanalytic therapy aims to gain insight and understanding of our inner and emotional worlds. Therefore, it focuses on longer-term change and not only short-term relief.

The Masterson Approach (developed over decades’ research of adolescents and adults by Dr James F Masterson) is a developmental, self and object relations understanding and treatment of individuals’ core relation struggles with themselves and others.

Therapy could therefore be an opportunity to address a wide range of psychological areas, which include:

  • emotional growth and development

  • depression

  • bipolar mood disorder

  • loss and bereavement

  • anxiety

  • anger

  • psychosomatic concerns

  • trauma

  • day to day stress
